Overview
Trust Wallet is a non-custodial mobile wallet that lets you securely store, send, receive and interact with Bitcoin, Ethereum and thousands of other tokens across many blockchains. Private keys are stored locally on your device — you control access to your funds. For official downloads and resources use TrustWallet.com.
Quick setup — Install & create a wallet
- Download the official app: App Store (iOS) or Google Play (Android) or via the official site. Avoid third-party APKs. Official site: trustwallet.com.
- Open the app and choose Create a new wallet or Import wallet if you already have a seed phrase.
- Write down the recovery phrase (12 or 24 words) exactly and store it offline — this is the only backup of your wallet.
- Enable an app lock (PIN/biometrics) to protect the app on your device.
Important: Never share your recovery phrase or private keys. No official support will ask for them.
Manage Bitcoin, Ethereum & Tokens
Trust Wallet supports native Bitcoin and Ethereum as well as ERC-20, BEP-2, BEP-20 and many other token standards. Key actions:
Receive
Select the asset → tap Receive → copy or share the address. Always verify the network (e.g., send ETH to an Ethereum address, not to a Binance Smart Chain address).
Send
Select the asset → tap Send → paste recipient address → set amount & gas fee → confirm. Double-check addresses before sending.
If a token doesn’t appear automatically, add it by contract address (only from official project sources). For large BTC/ETH transfers, consider sending a small test amount first.
Swaps & DEX integration
Trust Wallet includes an on-device swap/DEX aggregator that finds competitive rates across liquidity sources. Steps to swap:
- Open Swap or DEX in the app.
- Choose the token to sell and the token to receive.
- Review estimated rate, slippage tolerance and network fees. Only increase slippage when necessary and you understand the risk.
- Approve and confirm the transaction on-chain.
Always verify token contract addresses and beware of impersonator tokens. For complex DeFi interactions, review the smart contract and permissions requested when connecting.
Earn: Staking, savings & DeFi
Trust Wallet offers ways to earn rewards: native staking (e.g., BNB, Tezos), connecting to DeFi protocols via the dApp browser, or using third-party interest providers. Consider:
- Lockup/unstaking periods for staked assets — read terms carefully.
- Smart contract risk — only interact with reputable, audited projects.
- Start small and diversify — yield often correlates with risk.
Security best practices
- Only install Trust Wallet from official sources: TrustWallet.com.
- Back up your recovery phrase offline (paper/metal) and store it in a safe place.
- Never enter your seed on websites, in messages, or on unfamiliar apps.
- Use device encryption, a strong passcode, and biometric locks where available.
- When connecting to dApps, review permission scopes and disconnect when finished.
- Consider using a hardware wallet for large balances via supported integrations.
Troubleshooting & support
If you lose access, restore with your recovery phrase on a fresh Trust Wallet install or compatible wallet. For app crashes, clear cache or reinstall only after ensuring you have your recovery phrase.
